Gravity: Accepting Life Itself Unconditionally

Someone once told me that gravity is the purest form of unconditional love.  Everything is held by gravity without prejudice or discernment.  Grounding to this force of nature helps one experience unconditional love.  As I listened to Kevin’s voice today, I felt held by the energy of the Earth.  A deep relaxation came over me.  When the intunement ended, I laid down on my bed and continued to sense that deep sense of being held and I experienced the much needed deep sleep my body was craving.

  1. I like this Kevin – falling and being held by gravity. It won’t let me go -it holds me. I feel heavy and it is hard to have energy for what’s next so I will trust the heaviness as Rilke reminds me…

    How surely gravity’s law

    Strong as an ocean current,

Takes hold of even the strongest thing

And pulls it toward the heart of the world.

Each thing – each stone, blossom, child – is held in place.

    Only we, in our arrogance,

Push out beyond what we belong to

    For some empty freedom.

If we surrendered to Earth’s intelligence

We could rise up, rooted, like trees …

This is what the things can teach us: to fall,

    Patiently to trust our heaviness.

Even a bird has to do that

    Before he can fly.

  2. Dear Gabe

That is such a beautiful comment for the kind of support we are looking for, have gravity supports us and our life essentially. I am wondering if you would like to write something of your own experience, speaking from you own direct experience of yourself like this. And perhaps become and “author” too! We can help you do that.

    Kevin
